The Cloud Architect will lead the architecture and development of our SaaS solution and integration with various Public Cloud offerings (such as AWS, Azure, IBM, Google, etc.). This role will require a player/coach, someone that is capable of both individual contribution as well as providing direction to the team. The cloud architect will play a crucial role in the entire life cycle, from helping to refine the concept, through development & implementation, and then in post roll out for continual operation and improvement.
Position responsibilities and expectations:
Development and design of SaaS solution that includes integration with AWS and other across other providers.
A high level of technical cloud architectural knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of production, staging, QA, development and operations of cloud infrastructures running in 24×7 environments.
Provide leadership in infrastructure operations methodologies and techniques across a variety of platforms.
Candidate will report directly to the general manager.
Cloud architecture and operations skills and experience.
Strong understanding across cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end to end cloud infrastructure architectures and designs.
Knowledge of further cloud technologies (IBM, Azure, S3, VMware, etc.).
4+ years’ experience as an architect, with focus on AWS, cloud, server, storage and networking. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. Ability to work with team members from around the globe.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology is a must
The Systems Engineer for pre and post-sales plays a crucial role throughout the entire sales process, from lead generation through post sales support. Working along side Sales and Business Development teams, the Systems Engineer provides technical consulting expertise to prospective customers, conducts demonstrations and proof of concepts, assists customers during deployment, and is part of the escalation path post sales. The Systems Engineer assists in documenting customer interactions, providing crucial feedback to marketing and engineering on customer requirements, and developing technical content.
Position responsibilities and expectations:
Understanding customer pain points and projects and effectively positioning Tokalabs solutions to solve those problems
Provide technical expertise through sales presentations that provide detailed technical information about solution capabilities, competitive differentiation, and industry knowledge
Support technical evaluations of recommended solutions onsite with the customers
Author and execute test or trial plans for use by customers during product evaluation
Work with account managers or business development to coordinate efforts between partners, customers, and Tokalabs
Conduct onsite or remote web presentations, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts
Respond in timely manner to technical pre- and post-sales inquiries
Deliver brief training for channel partners and customers
Provide feedback to product management and marketing organizations on customer needs and issues
Create write-ups for technical notes, application notes, white papers, success stories or other technical documentation
Assist channel partners to identify, qualify, and close sales opportunities
Travel as needed
8+ years technical sales experience working with customers in network communications
Detailed understanding of data communications concepts
Strong knowledge of switching and routing concepts and protocols (Software Defined Networking, OpenFlow, OpenStack, IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP, MPLS VPN, IPSec VPN, TACACS, RADIUS, NetFlow, sFlow, ARP, VLAN, Trunking, Spanning Tree Protocol – STP/RSTP/MST, LACP, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, LLDP, LDAP, etc.)
Strong background in security, including a strong understanding of firewall and IPS
Previous experience in sales process for hardware and/or software solutions, preferably including test and measurement equipment
Solid problem solving skills, decision making and use of initiative
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-starter and self-motivated; ability to identify gaps and create and drive initiatives towards meeting goals
Able to work independently but also in a team environment
